A Case for the Fro

Fro’s are awesome. This is one of the fundamental facts of the universe. However some people have yet to be convinced of the awesomeness of the hairstyle known as the Fro. I have a couple of points to fix that.

Fro’s are easy to maintain. Step 1, wash hair. Step 2, comb hair outwards chaotically. Success!!!
Fro’s are incredibly soft, like OMFG run your hand through it and lose yourself for hours soft.
Fro’s are people magnets. As per point 2, men, women, small children, animals and sentient robots cannot resists the Fro’s softness.
Fro’s are portable pillows.
Fro’s make headbutts amazing and plushy.
Fro’s can be used store things: pens, pencils, scissors, small knives, shurikens, etc.
Fro’s can be pulled down in front a users face to act as a sunshade, relieving stress on the eyes.
Fro’s can be pulled down around the ears to help block out external sounds.
Fro’s are the ultimate temperature controllers. They can be kept dense for heat preservation or fluffy to maximize heat loss.

If these points have not convinced you of the Fro’s pure liquid awesomeness, you’ve probably never touched one. Either that or you’re bald.

We Are the Dead - Does It Offend You, Yeah?

Is this music or sound? It’s starts so hauntingly, a lone guitar. An eerie waveform, words of hardship and death. Finally, a crescendo into chaos. Screams, violence. A brief reprieve and the onslaught continues. My soul is dragged through the song, down and down and down it goes. In the end I’m left in a state from which I can only rise, but humbly so.

Black Holes. Stars so massive they warp space-time in such a way that nothing can escape their grip. Once something passes a black hole’s event horizon its lost forever to the external world. But what if we were within the black hole, observing its voracious consumption and the chaos arising from it? All that raw data swishing and swirling together. Most of it would be meaningless, but from that chaos something might arise.

Every day we as human beings absorb vast amounts of data. All of our senses feed into the biggest black hole of them all, the human brain, but what arises from this information? Consciousness? Emotion? Morality? Individuality? Culture?

This an exploration of one mind, one set of experiences, one collection of data. Welcome to my Mental Black Hole.
